As a result of participating in a quality music program, it is reasonable to expect that by the end of GRADE TWO, a student will demonstrate an understanding of the following:
Harmony:Experience accompaniment to melody; accompany melody with an ostinato
Form: Aurally and visually identify like/unlike phrases and patterns; call and response; Aurally identify and perform AB, ABA, verse/refrain
Tone Color: Aurally identify and perform on classroom instruments; Use three vocal tone colors (speak, sing, whisper) Aurally identify two orchestral instrument families
